First of all thank you for everyone's kind words about my SPT post. Although I was unsure about posting it at first, I'm glad now that I did, both Jim and I have been really touched by all your comments.
It's Jim's birthday today (Yay! Happy 33rd Birthday sweetie) and I was so excited that one of his main presents arrived in the post today when I had thought that it would be at least another week.
I don't know if anyone else has used Qoop to have a book of their photo's printed, but I highly recommend it. I get the impression that in the US it's pretty easy to get stuff printed, but over here in the UK it's very expensive. To get postcards printed at my local printers starts at £65 ($130)! So when I saw Qoop and it's prices I was very excited and had this book of photo's of Bella's first year printed for Jim which he (and I) just love. The quality is better than I thought it would be and it arrived super quick.

I also made a picture for him but it's not quite finished and I forgot to take a photo whilst it was still light, but it's almost exactly like this one that I'm working on,but without the dog.

I have almost finished my postcards for the Postcard Swop (well one of them anyway - still 2 days before they have to be posted so no rush there then!)
I'm pretty happy with them, especially as I was suffering from a major block over what to do. I finally came up with the design in the last few days after playing around with my four season blocks. As I 've already said, I've been really loving the look of the back of the pieces I've been working on, the way the stiches looked against the cream backing. That's led to a quite sudden love of Redwork. I've always admired it, but have never really been drawn to it before. Don't you love the way that happens? You can just go along quite happily, when all of a sudden, bang, you're obsessed with something new!
I love the fact that stiching on to white card creates such a crisp image. And although my next door neighbour was raised to believe that red and white is cheap looking, I like it very much.
I also like the fact that it looks like those cards you can buy to teach children to sew.
This was my first attempt at the card. Hmmmm.....

Here's a bit of an update on the tidying of my studio. It's not quite done but as you can see, I can at least work in it now!

Oh and just for the beauty of it here's a photo of a card I found in my stationary stash today. I didn't know I had it, but I haven't been able to stop looking at it all day.
Beautiful!!!
(Oh and I haven't forgotten about the fabric bundles, I promise that I'll get it sorted as soon as I can)
