Surprises!! Part 2
My day started so wonderfully that I was a little worried that it might go down hill! But I'm glad to say that it didn't. After Bella finally got up (yes Bella, you may sleep until 8.45am as often as you wish!) we met up with a friend and went to an indoor adventure playground that is right here in our village (can you believe that it took me almost a year to realise that it was there and I live in a small village). We've only been a couple of times before and I love seeing Bella's confidence grow and grow every time we go. We were there for 2 hours this morning and she loved every minute of it. I did think that as she'd had such a strenuous morning that her afternoon nap would definately be a long one so I could get work (and photo's) done, but of course that wasn't to be. But I really didn't mind, because Bella was so much fun all day and my day had started with all of this..
Kristina had very kindly offered to send me some ribbon after I'd commented on her fantastic pigs a while ago.But not only was I not expecting Kristina to send anything yet (with a wedding to plan!) but I also wasn't expecting all of this! Just look at those ribbons, aren't they gorgeous?
And as if that wasn't enough, look what she made just for Bella! Isn't it just beautiful? Look at the colours! Look! No, look again! Thank you Kristina, I appreciate it so, so much!
And look at these cute little felt stickers that were on the front of the envelope.
Thank you again Kristina and CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!
As well as receiving all of that I also received this in the post as a valentines surprise from my mom.
It's a beautiful edition of one of Bella's favourite books. I just love the illustrations.
Bless her, she also stuck a fiver in so that I could buy a bottle of vino! Now that's a mom who knows her daughter!
And that's not all!! A wonderful, wonderful package arrived from Toni ! First of all, I am lucky enough to be the very proud owner of one of Toni's daughters cards! If you haven't seen these cards you need to head straight over here and take a look. Hannah was only 10 when she drew these! And they are fantastic! And believe me the photo's don't do them justice.
Then there were two parcels, one for Bella and one for me!! Now I knew that Toni had been so, so wonderful and had made Bella a birthday present, but I didn't know she was going to include all of this in with it!
Look at all that beautiful (I'm going to have to learn some new superlatives!!), beautiful red and white fabric! Oh. My. Lord. I love all of it. In fact love is not a strong enough word. I want to make a quilt right now, using all of these! Toni! Words fail me. Oh and how on earth did you mae it all smell so wonderful?
And that really would be enough wouldn't it? But no, there's still more! The only problem is, I was sure I took proper photo's of Bella's new best friend. But when I came to download them they weren't there and it was too dark to take some more. So I'll have to post these instead. And don't panic Toni, I'm going to put Mr Owl well out of Bella's reach, but I had to let her have one little play with him. I wish you could have seen her face when she saw him! Absolutely priceless!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Toni!
I have to say at this point that when I started blogging I absolutely never, ever expected it to lead to the level of kindness that my family experienced today. The fact that Kristina and Toni spent their very precious time and energy making presents for my daughter, is something that just blows me and Jim away. Right at this moment in time I feel so very lucky.

I've been dying to see what you got.Well worth the wait! What a lucky girl.Bella did okay aswell! Can't wait to see what you make with the yummy fabric.Isn't that book just gorgeous?

The goodies you got from Kristina are wonderful! Is that a postcard she made? I LOVE it! The colors and that elephant...wow.
We have a copy of that same book. It's a sweet one. What a precious mum you have.

What a cutie-pie she is, that sweet Bella!
Thank you Manda....I'm so glad you like the elephant...and look at that owl! And the fabric? Cool. What a fantastic day you had, huh? I would love to go to a place, like that indoor place you went to, but we don't really have any here! Here as in Denmark!
Only a few - that I know of - in Copenhagen...bummer ;o)

Happy Valentine's Day Manda and Bella! Your surprises are so lovely! I love that this blogging community connects thoughtful, generous, talented people who would have otherwise never met. It makes me smile to read about what a nice day you had with your sweet little girl. It is much better for the soul to read blogs than to watch the news or read the paper! Good things are happening in the world they just don't get reported on.
