November 18th
One of the things that I've been working on for the shows/sales that I've been taking part in this month is a collection of doll bedding. It's been a natural progression from my Princess and the Pea Sets , which I still love making and are still naturally evolving.
This is the first set of three that are finished and I have to admit that I'm a little nervous of showing it at all because to be honest I really love it and it would be kind of depressing if you all didn't.

It's a full set of bedding, including a quilt..

A fully hemmed flat sheet of pink polka dot flannel...
A traditional mattress covered in blue and white ticking...

And a removeable pillowcase and pillow..
The set comes as a stand alone set or with the wooden bed included. The bed is the perfect size for dolls.
I have made everything to exactly the same quality as I would for a full size quilt etc and it is all fully washable.
I'm going to be putting both this set and one of the two others in the shop for sale on Monday, however, if anyone is interested in this one before that just drop me a line.
Eeek, we should have all left twenty minutes ago to go out for dinner so I'm a going to have to fly, but if I'm back earlier enough or sober enough (hah) then I'll continue this post - otherwise I'll be back tomorrow!
How could we not love it? That is beautiful, I wish I had it in human size.
Years ago, I made myself a duvet cover and have meant to make pillowcases or embellish store-bought cases and sheets. To this day, there is still only the duvet cover. Alas... Maybe you will inspire me to at least finish making this other comforter I bought fabric for years ago. I was madly in love with this fabric and bought way too much, then actually forgot I had enough and bought even more. Maybe I should consider selling the excess to someone who would make quicker use of it, instead of feeling quilty every time I see the roll in my closet. I'll have to take pictures. I think you might like it so I'll let you know when I have a picture.
I usually lurk, but wanted to assure you not to feel shy about showing your work. I also love the patchwork wall in your bedroom and the patchwork lamp shade. Take care. lisa

honestly, i don't think anyone is going to like it.
because, you know, little girls and crafty mothers want nothing to do with ubber cute dolly beds and bedding they wish came in size for themselves because it's adorable.

Oh my goodness, that is too much! It is all adorable, but I think that the pillowcase is just the best. How in the world do you have the patience for such miniature work?!

This makes me want a doll and I don't even like dolls. They stare at me. So do plushies, but they don't bother me.
Or, I want to shrink so I can sleep in the cozy bed.
Great job!

Now of course you know we would all love it, probably just as much as you do, but your the clever girl who created it. Beautiful colors, and I love the mattress stripes, and the flannel sheet, and the little button up pillowcase, just so gorgeous. It will inspire me to make more of an effort with Isabelle's doll's I think, I just stitched some wadding in the middle of some polka dot fabric and stitched them together.

The bedding is amazing. I would have so loved them when I was young. The only problem is that you are going to make Bella hate you:-(
Every time she sees you making these wonderful doll quilt sets she's going to want them for her dolls. It's going to be hard for her to understand that you're not making them for her. Your studio will have to be off limits!

All I want to do now is go to bed in that exact bed, it looks so wonderful. This is fabulous, I would love a set in big people's size! :)
