The 20th!

Plastrees

The weather has been so bad here the last few days that I'm afraid I've been reduced to recycling last years Christmas photo's.

Like everyone else, we're all rushing around this week, trying to fit it all in and finish it all off.
On Monday Jim and I finished off the christmas shopping for friends and family.
Bella's nursery had their Christmas singsong on Tuesday night - a pile of toddlers singing Jingle Bells, what more could you ask for from the Holiday Season??
Hospital visit and latest ultrasound on Wednesday morning - bringing up a few more issues, the main one now being that they think I have gestational diabetes. I say Pah! to that idea.
Followed by yet more shopping (didn't I say we'd finished that?) and then a handover of child to Nana so that Jim and I could have a special treat and go and see It's A Wonderful Life at the cinema - in the middle of the day no less!
Today Bella and I had our weekly play day with our best friends - which started with Bella and Megan being horribly two, but evolved (thankfully) in to a fun day that was enjoyed by all.
And tomorrow Jim and I have to do yet more shopping (no really, didn't I say we'd finished that??), whilst Bella is at nursery.
We also need to fit in exchanging presents with friends, wrapping Bella's insane amount of presents (haven't even started that yet), giving the house a pre-Christmas clean and finishing off  those last few handmade gifts.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

I'm exhausted just reading that!! I had a great day too! I was off work (mid week no less). I met my friend who was visiting from Canada - I haven't seen him since last Christmas so it was really nice! Wrapping and delivering of presents will need to happen soon!!

Oh nooooo! Say it isn't so about the gestational diabetes - one of us has to enjoy sugar at christmas this year!

We haven't wrapped anything yet, either. And most of my baking is yet to happen, nor the exchanging gift with friends. And the cleaning? Um, no to that too. :)

I have so much to do; I'm glad I'm not alone! My baby girl turns 20 (!!!) on Saturday, so lots of things to wrap. I've decided that I'm never finished getting ready for Christmas-- I run out of time instead.
Have fun Manda!

Well a movie date in the middle of the day, how wonderful. I'm racing to get it all done...only a few days left. Take it easy and have a lovely christmas.

I know what you mean. I'm just wondering when I can fit in writing the Christmas cards - do you think I'm running a little late?!

Oooh not gestational diabetes as Christmas - how unfair would that be! My life is a lot like yours, more shopping, no wrapping, Christmas baking ...... At least we are all on holiday until the end of Jan as of today - yippee!

You got to see "It's a Wonderful Life" at the Show??! That is awesome! I was just thinking the other night they should show those type of movies at the Show.

Merry Christmas!

I'm in denial - I've decided that I've finished, now that I finished my daughter's present. I'm conveneintly forgetting the cleaning, wrapping and all that fun...

I hope they're wrong about the diabetes.

"It's a wonderful life" is one of my very favourite films, I've got a bit of a thing for James Stewart! Won't be seeing it at the flix but good old Nick bought if for me on dvd a few years ago so we'll settle down to watch it by the fire and the tissues will definately be out. All my love Al x

I wish more Americans said "easy peasy"...I've forgotten how much I like it.

Good luck with the shopping + wrapping - I have a little pile of brown boxes waiting to be prettied up, but it doesn't sound like it's as large as yours!

Sorry to hear that you may have gestional diabetes but I know that you will continue to be healthy and have a wonderfully healthy baby.

Normally I lurk but had to say a big BOO to GD, especially at Christmas. I hope they've got it wrong. I had it with my second and while it was a pain in the fingers doing the testing it really wasn't so bad to stay off the sugar - but then that wasn't at Christmas!
