1 Week

How can it be a week already? Time is already moving too fast. And we already feel like Lily has always been with us.
Bella has had a few moments of pushing the boundaries and I've had a few moments of very public tearfulness in response, but none of it has been a real surprise and once Jim and I realised that we needed to just chill with Bella a little more, things have started to even out again.
I've been really surprised though by how totally Bella accepts that Lily is here and is here to stay. She's very proud of having a sister and especially proud that Lily is a McGrory-Patton just like her.
I know things will change once Jim goes back to work (a few weeks yet), but at the moment we're all working really well together and just enjoying all the newness and all the fun.

Loving it all.
They are so sweet together... I'm so happy for you all!

Oh I hope they become best friends! It's amazing to watch the bonding that happens between siblings. The second one adores the eldest in way unimaginable and you'll find that Lily will be light years ahead of the game with a big sister to copy.
Just keep telling Bella you love her and she'll be OK. We actually bought gifts "from" the baby to give to our firstborn - and he was so in awe of the "baby's" generousity they have been back to back every since :D

I cant believe it is already a week too since she arrived. I absolutely love all her dark hair, what a little surprise that was in the photo. How sweet that Bella is being so loving too, I know it is hard to adjust older children and to share their parents attention.

2 girls...sisters. Just beautiful. My mother always taught my sister and I that no matter what life brings us, we will always have each other. That's what a sister means to me.
Lily is stunning - look at her looking around already!
