Generally speaking I fully intend to keep Sew Hip and TreeFall seperate, but every now and then I just have to share something with you or ask your advice abut something. But don't think that I'm turning this in to a commercial space, because I'm not.
Well, ok, I am now, but not generally. 'K?
Although advertising in Sew Hip isn't usually my concern, we're starting something that I think is so cool that I really want to talk about it here. For those of us that run small businesses one of the hardest, most expensive things to do is get good advertising and I know that there just aren't many affordable opportunities out there, unless you have a shed load of cash to spend.
Well Sew Hip wants to change that, if only in a small way. So we're offering a limited number of advertising spaces to crafters or suppliers that are Etsy sellers at a really affordable rate.
Each month 20 sellers that want to advertise with us will be picked to be included in our Editors choice page (yep, me, but don't worry I won't let the power go to my head!) and for the first issue, one of the twenty will not only get advertising space, but also a refund of the advertising fee! Sweet.
So there you go, if you want more info pop over to the Sew Hip blog or just email me on email@example.comDOTuk and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
Now I know that some people might feel that I've now sold out or that I'm using TreeFall in an all corporate kind of way, but I'm seriously not.
I took the job with Sew Hip because I genuinely believe that the magazine really is needed and wanted. And I also believe that any help that us small business crafters can get is incredibly important. And cheap advertising space is well worth talking about.
That said, I won't be talking about it very often!
