I have spent the entire day today thinking that it's Monday. Which is strange when you consider that I spent the whole of yesterday convinced that it was Friday. But even worse than that, I got up at 8am this morning after Lily woke me up, played with the girls in their bedroom for half an hour or so and then came downstairs to start breakfast... to discover that it was actually not even 6am!!! And I had already been up over half an hour.
What the????
I have no idea how I mistook 5am for 8am but figured I may as well take advantage of an extra 3 hours in my day and decided to take the girls to the beach (it's almost two hours away so we don't get there often).
The three of us had a great day but I am so ready for bed now (I know that I said that yesterday too, but back then I didn't have a clue!).
So...tomorrow? It's Wednesday yes? Right.
(the pic is what's sitting on my shelf above my sewing table at the moment)
i'm so glad i'm not the only one who is unsure about what day of the week it is! glad you had fun at the beach!

I have Mondays off so EVERY WEEK I think Tuesday is Monday :)
PS ~ Ellis got her princess & the pea set on Friday, and oh my goodness is it ever cute! I didn't give her the pea (obviously!) and had to take away her princess so she wouldn't keep feeding it to the dog, but she's still having fun with her mattresses! thank you a million times over!
hugs ~

hahahaha! time becomes a vague thing as, well time, goes on. Manda, I've been following your blog for about 1 1/2 years now, and am always inspired by, and find interesting, what you are doing.

You've got me at it now. I think it's going to take alot to convince me that today isn't Thursday.

Don't even start on what date it is!!!

oh dear, and there wasnt even a change in the clocks so you cant even blame that. It must be because you are slowly going insane. Paint fumes from too much painting and decorating I reckon. But insane though you are, you have excellent taste; I could look at that pretty picture all day....

I too am suffering from what-time-is-it-what-day-is-it? syndrome owing to my tiny bundle of joy who arrived on the 4th June! I derive great comfort from hearing that people are up at the same time as me so please do keep reporting those early morning starts!

We've had a week like that here. Normally I can blame it on my husband's shift work, but he's on a normal one right now. I forgot that school was an early start one day. Got up 3 hours early the next, as my daft husband changed the clock time instead of the alarm time. Almost missed an appointment as I was convinced it was still a day away... Summer's only just started.

Good grief, how confused you are. As long as you know the name of the current Prime Minister you've nothing to worry about!(so say psychiatrists!)
Look after yourself, eh? xxx

Don't you just love it when you loose days and hours like that?? At least you put it to good use and went to visit the ocean!

I have days like that all the time....what day is it again?
Posted by: Lisa Stubbs | June 18, 2009 at 11:22 AM
Thanks to my six week old I have no clue what day it is and have stopped wearing a watch as it doesn't really matter what time it is as it's always feeding time!
