Every year I wish that I had managed to decorate for Halloween a little earlier, so that we could enjoy it for a little longer. But this year was the same as all the rest, with me decorating the night before, just in time for our Halloween party.
As much as I enjoy Halloween, I'm not a huge fan of the excessively gaudy commercial decorations, so I try and keep it fairly simple.
The black bunting/shelf edging was made by me a few years ago and I tend to be a little lazy and rely on that for the majority of the impact!
Then I carve a few different pumpkins, hang some black wire with bats on, make the obligatory pom poms and that's pretty much it.
Now there's just the problem of when do I take it down? I like it far too much to take it down already. And with my new(ish) love of orange, I like it even more than usual.
And then there's the issue of Lily. Who becomes fixated on different things very easily. And for a over a month it's been finding 'The Naughty Witch' (we don't know who the 'naughty witch' is), so she was extremely excited when she saw the decorations and decided that this is where the naughty witch lives!
So, it could be looking this way for a while yet.
