I wasn't joking about the whole piping thing. I love it! And I honestly think this is my most favourite cushion ever. It's made from a beautiful grey and white woven patterned wool, with an oakshott marigold piping.
I'm trying not to be geeky about this, because, you know, if you weren't in to piping then this might seem boring, but I just love the way it changes the whole look of the cushion. And the way that just that little bit of colour completely brings the cushion to life.
I've had to keep one each of these cushions for me, especially as they match my newest aquisition so well, but I've also put a couple of them in the shop too. And tomorrow I'm making the grey one with an olive piping. Exciting, I know!
Thank you to everyone for your comments and emails about my last post. I truly did question whether or not to publish it, but the words go around in my head so often that it really does help to write them down and send them out there sometimes. My biggest worry always though is my Mum. Whenever I write about the last year I worry that I will make her feel gulity, which is my very last intention. So the morning after any personal post I wait for our (one of many) daily phone calls to hear what she thinks. And I'm sure she doesn't realise it, but I am always so relieved when she says that she liked my post and agrees with what I wrote.
And she did agree. Because she wants her past back too. And when Bella says she wants to be a (Harry Potter) witch so that she can make wishes, that's what I ask her to wish for.
