Although she refuses to try it on because it's not the green floral fabric that she requested, Lily has a new linen deer blouse.
I used a shade of mossy green linen that I love and matched it with a Liberty print that is equally beautiful. Along the bottom hem and the shoulder I've used a vintage braiding.
I had a comment a while back from a reader suggesting that I try a different, more complicated neckline and in the past I made a number of dresses and tops that don't have elasticated necks, but to be honest, when it comes to clothes for toddlers and baby's I really do think it's the best way to go. They're not only quick and easy to get on and off, but they're also straight forward to make, so you don't have to be too precious about them.
Lily tends to be most comfortable in loose fitted blouses and leggings so this top is perfect for her. At least it would be, if I'd made it out of the green floral that she'd asked for!
