I don't wear frilly clothes. I like clothes that are simple in design, that don't date too much, because the style is basic and timeless. I like the colour and the print to be what hits you, not overly designed flounce and frill. And no matter how hard I try, that's what I keep coming back to for the children's clothes too.
So the 45 Blouse is a simple affair, with short sleeves and a little pleat in the front. And because I really do love to make bias binding (what's not to love), I've faced the neckline with bias in super bright shades of mustard and magenta. (there's a great piece here , written by Grainline, on how to face with bias).
I've made the blouse in a number of different fabrics, including these two in the black and white stripe as well as the natural linen.
As well as making new blouses, I've also been busy building a new website, which I'm very much hoping will go live in the next couple of weeks.... hello steep learning curve!
