Although most of the UK has been suffering from almost constant rain and awful flooding, up here we've been lucky enough to have had some beautiful sunny days (in between the constant rain).
The glimpses of bright (almost) spring sunlight has of course high lighted how dark and dusty the house has become over winter. So I have slowly started working my way through the jobs that will clean and brighten the place up.
I bought these two chairs months ago for £2 each from a junk shop. The seats were upholstered in a particularly horrible brown woven plaid fabric, that was too dirty and ugly to sit on. So as a stop gap I bought a couple of chair pads from Ikea, and tied them on with the intention of recovering them as quickly as possible.
The beautifully sunny day today spurred me on to finally choose the fabrics and finish the job off.
It only took me 20 minutes (once I'd finished throwing fabric around the studio, trying to make a decision and them posting the choices on Instagram), and has instantly brightened up the kitchen.
