Spend the day in inspiring, relaxed surroundings, learning how to stitch a simple, flat bottomed Tote bag that can be used every day or as a shopping bag or book bag. The tote is stitched using beautiful printed cottons and linens with a contrasting lining and two shoulder length handles, with an option of a single, cross body strap.
Once you’ve mastered making your own bag and enjoyed a delicious lunch, spend the afternoon being amazed at just how easy it is to make a lined, zipped pouch, perfect as a make up bag, wash bag or pencil case.
During the workshop you will be provided with all the materials needed to create your tote and matching pouch, including a choice of inspiring fabrics, a zip and all the necessary sewing notions. High quality Pfaff sewing machines are provided, ready to use.
All you need to do is spend the day concentrating on having fun and learning a new skill, whilst also enjoying a handmade lunch and refreshments.
The workshop runs from 10.30am until 4pm and is limited to a maximum of 6 people, to ensure that everyone has the time and space to learn at a relaxed pace with a handful of like minded people.
The day is suitable for any level of sewing skill, from an absolute beginner to the more experienced and is aimed at anyone who wants to spend time sewing with beautiful fabrics in informal, friendly and inspirational surroundings.
The price of the workshop includes all materials, the use of high quality sewing machines, your finished tote and pouch/make up bag to take home, illustrated instructions, so that you can continue to make your own totes etc, a homemade lunch and all refreshments.
