A while back I was lucky enough to receive a lovely surprise parcel from two of my favourite designers. Cath had emailed me to say that she had a little something that she wanted to put in the post for Bella. And only a few days later I was very excited to open a parcel that included not only a lovely t shirt for Bella, but also some fantastic fat quarters in the best Christmas colours ever!
Don't they just make you want to start sewing stockings and ornaments and all things Yule?
I'm thinking maybe a new christmas tree skirt (I say that as though there's an old tree skirt which is, in fact, not the case) and a couple of new christmas cushions.
I'm also thinking that the polka dots need to be made in to a little outfit for M-P2. How sweet would she look in red and white spots?
And that blue stripe is begging to be made in to some mini stockings to hang from the mantle. Oh, oh and I'm thinking that bird needs to be a little cut out hanging ornament, or maybe a little cushion?
As well as the beautiful aqua's and reds, Cath and Kirsten also included some hand printed linen squares.
Bella has already claimed a couple of these! I'm not sure what she wants to do with them, but she thought they were very pretty. I'm going to definitely use a couple of the heart patches in a quilt for M-P2 (having lots of ideas about this quilt - very excited) and one of the bird patches is going to find it's way on to a pillow for Bella, since she loves it so much.
And of course, as well as the wonderful fabrics for me, the parcel had the T shirt that Cath made for Bella.
Bella insisted on putting it on as soon as she saw it (she calls it a dress), along with a few other choice items...
Yes, she's wearing it over blue leggings with black patent leather shoes and a blue glittery headband! But you know? I think it works!
I think that Cath and Kirsten sell the fat quarters in their shop, but I'm not sure you can buy them online. You can definitely get the linen birds from them online though.
