I was approached last year by the Bilston Craft Gallery in Wolverhampton and invited to take part in an exhibition called Just For Kids. It's the first time that I've been asked to be involved in something that isn't retail or wholesale based and it felt very strange packing up my work and shipping it down to an unseen gallery. So much so that it wasn't until a few days ago that I realised that if I didn't get down there soon, I'd miss my first exhibition! So hopefully we'll all be heading to Wolverhampton at some point in the next few weeks. But if you're over that way, I recommend a visit as there are some wonderful artists in the show, including Lucy Jane Batchelor , Clare Beaton , Theresa Green and Lindsey Gardiner and there are lots of interactive activities for children as well as the opportunity to buy some of the pieces on display.

The show itself is has "been created with the Gallery's youngest visitors and their families in mind and showcases the breadth of innovative products being made specifically for the children/baby market....The exhibition will explore the notion of handmade and how we can introducee it into our everyday lives through clothing, child friendly jewellery, furniture, toys and crockery. Featuring work by 27 makers it also includes original artworks from the renowned illustrators, Clare Beaton, Siobhan Bell, Liz and Kate Pope...There are plenty of other interactive elements, including Drawing Tops by Thomas Forsyth, Join-The-Dots Wallpaper by Sally Pawson, Genius Pads by Arash + Kelly and work by Lucy Jane Batchelor, Bronwen Tyler Jones, Julie Allison, Manda McGrory and Laura Masson on the handling table to explore".
If you do manage to pop in and see the exhibit, please do let me know, I'd love to know what you think.
I'm also excited to say that the lovely Apartment Therapy has featured our kitchen today!
